I could have made her body smoother, I could have made it seamless, and 'perfect', but I think we should embrace all the parts of our bodies.

Whether we are tall, short, wide, thin, not so thin, young, old, wrinkles, cellulite, scarred, pocked...whatever...we should feel safe enough in our bodies to do the things we want to do.

I tried belly dancing seven months after having my last baby.

Our instructor was tall, long legs and just so beautiful when she danced.

So, as I danced, I imagined I looked the same...flowy, graceful, long and lean...

Then I looked in the mirrors...

NOPE!

Still short, wide, still baby tummy, baby boobs....

But moving your hips is such a good way to loosen up, let go of stuck energy, pop up your mood...so just dance!
